about Colby's arrival?

twins - Key Details and FAQ.
Colby marked his
first birthday in October and seems to change almost by the day. At a
checkup in February, Colby weighed 21 pounds 5 ounces.
He's
a busy little guy. He started walking around the end of January
and is steadily getting more balanced. Pretty soon he'll be running after the cats
instead of crawling after them.
He
loves exploring and spends a lot of time playing
in the kitchen cupboards. Forget toys; give him a pile of tupperware and or some noisy
pots and pans!
Except when he's tired or teething or feeling cranky from a cold (he picks
up every bug from school), he's a happy boy who laughs a lot. He laughs at funny noises
and being chased.
His diet has
been healthy and varied, almost from his first bite of solids, but now that he has teeth
he really does eat just about everything we do. He has certain baby-favorites like applesauce
and puffs, but he likes almost everything. We have never given Colby processed baby food with
the exception of fortified baby cereal when he was little. He eats regular cooked oatmeal
with raisins for breakfast, and some of his favorite dinner foods include burritos,
lasagna, and baked fish. He tolerates medium spicy foods reasonably well and even likes
steamed vegetables. No picky babies in this house!
He has seven
front teeth (working on #8) and recently sprouted three molars (working on #4).
Daycare is
going well. In March he's scheduled to move up the the "First Steps" toddler class from the
nursery. He has a great time at school. His days are full of art projects like coloring and painting,
reading books, practicing words and signs, and playing with his friends.
