2008 Review

January started off with big news
for us (but still a big secret for everyone else): Christy was pregnant! She was just starting to feel
the twinges of morning sickness when we took our annual ski trip to Killington, Vermont.

We let the cat out of the bag in
February and told our family and friends about the pending arrival. Morning sickness attacked in earnest and
work went by in a sort of daze for a few months.

Wayne took his last big business
trip to Brussels in March. Easter also arrived, and Colby discovered the horror of accidentally squishing
his chocolate bunny while eating it.

Morning sickness let up
somewhere in the April timeframe. It was time to rearrange the rooms. Wayne's office moved into the guest room.
Colby moved into Wayne's office and had his bed converted into a toddler bed; his crib days were over
especially since Christy wasn't supposed to lift heavy things anymore. To put the guest room in order, we
painted it and bought a new computer desk. The baby's room remained virtually unchanged except for some
changes to the art.

April was more than just
redecorating. Wayne managed one more Porsche drive. And we went to England to visit Wayne's family, taking Colby on
his first airplane trip. The trip was okay, except we had some trouble getting Colby to go to sleep at
night since the beds were in the same room at the hotel. We caught up with family, walked around
some parks and mansions, and visited a bird sanctuary and airplane museum.

I'm not sure what we did in
May. Work was busy - there's so much to do when you're getting ready to be off for three months looking
after a baby.

Warm weather finally arrived
in June. Colby loved playing in his inflatable pool. Christy also took him to the Y every Sunday morning
to practice swimming in the big pool. We enjoyed the nice weather by going to our favorite sculpture park,
Grounds for Sculpture in Trenton, NJ. June
was a good month for car fun. Wayne went to the NHRA Supernationals Drag Racing.

In July we went to a Porsche
club event at a neat car museum. I forget now where it was. We also had a family
outting to the local car show in Hatboro.

Christy slowed down towards the
end of summer. We managed one more trip to the Grounds for Sculpture. We also ventured down to a very
small sculpture park down in Abington that wasn't very good.

September. We made it!
Denali was born after fourteen hours of labor, everything normal. No NICU.
Talk about a different experience from last time.
Colby took the situation very well and seemed mostly excited about the new green toy car he got as a
present from his baby sister, Denali.

It was almost surreal to be
home with our new baby girl. We glided into October. Colby turned three! Christy's dad came to visit
and meet his granddaughter. We had our first snow at the end of October.

November ended with Thanksgiving
and a visit from Wayne's dad. Wayne and Colby got their picture taken in a Porsche with Santa Claus.

December arrived with Christy's
return to work, a flurry of activity, and then a lovely two week break for the holidays. As we sit here
on new year's eve, we'd like to wish you a very happy new year for 2009!
